250r Hondaline ATC 250r Grille question- Plus PICS

OK I won this NOS ONE PIECE hondaline grille/guard for the later generation ATC 250r. This one the grille is one piece with the guard. I also have the ATC 250r/250sx small red and black grilles which are supposed to go on the separate Larger guard. So I bought the 250sx larger guard becuase I thought that may be compatible on the 250r which it isnt compatible on the ATC 250r tripples...follow me.

Question anyone here have a picture of the red ATC 250r larger guard that the small grille bolts onto...Which is more common ?? I would like to check it out.

I'll throw in some hondaline pics on this post....check out the TRX250r headlight grille.

OOOH Didnt know the 350x had a one piece grille available to. I'm still learning all the ins and outs of the hondaline parts. Wonder if a red one piece was available for the 350x?? Whats MC Grille in your sig??

It was actually... I had a crappy one on my X that I sold about a year ago.

mmm... here's a pic, I didn't have a digi cam at that time or I would of taken all sorts of pics... :cry:

i have that headlight guard youre asking about,but i havent had any luck posting pics,i could probably email it to you if no body comes up with one.i also have the hondaline catalog with all the part numbers if you need any.

Thanks ...She not bad for never being a frame off restore..(thats someday) ..just NOS Bolt ons. Here a few pics of it....For those who like attention to detail..Check out the NOS Ohtsu with the pro vector spelled out I found for the front of the R ..The later editions that just have P/V on them are discontinued this one is super rare!!! :w00t: Definetly in the mood to post some pics tonight arent I?

I don't know this for a fact but going with 1st hand experience, Honda later switched to the one piece grille/guard due to the fact that vibrations caused the bolt on grille to break apart. I put a bolt on grille on my 350x guard (both Hondaline) and after 2 rides, the top and bottom bars on the grille had broken off at the corners, leaving only the middle bar. I would have to think that the one piece is stronger and would not come apart. I also have the add on grille on my 250R and it has not had any problems as of yet. But the one you have is surely more rare than what I have.

Yeah after two trips around the yard my 350x headlight lense grill fell apart. First the top bar?? WTF?? so I went to look for it and the bottom one went?? WTF?? and I traded a NOS Tripmeter Kit for it!! :mad: The one piece guard with bars does look cool and has got to be stronger:lol: I have the chrome one for my 200x and it is sweet.
