Not looking too shabby. You made some very quick turn-around time on that bike, as well. Good work. Can't wait to see it all done and I'm sure you're excited to ride it again as well!!

I like it.... You should of kept the gold rims though and got different ones to paint. I like the black and white color scheme..... Been working on mine but running out of money......I want to get a new frame and start taking the parts off mine and getting everything painted and all pretty piece by piece, but a frame is gonna cost me almost $200....... Heres a pic of mine, nothing pretty, just need some new fenders and seat cover for now, after seeing yours I'm thinking about getting those white fenders......Do you have the stock sprocket on there? Its a 42 tooth if it is......just got a 39 and its pretty sweet...... Was wanting to go up one more to a 40 tooth cuz it took a little to much low end, but its got the top...... cost to much to buy another one....... Keep me updated......Later......

That thing is sweet. I like the white and black...I like the black wheels also. What kinda tires/sizes are you running all around? IMO it looks kinda like a GNCC styled machine with the blacked out wheels and hand guards.

Dang that trike is looking awesome dude! I always love to see people making the older air cooled R's look good. I like the white and black look also. The tanks fins look cool too, your giving me a ton of ideas for my 83 right now. Nice work!!!:TrikesOwn :Bounce

How do you figure mine looks nice compared to yours.....more like I ran it into a tree and left it in the sun for 23 years.......Its got the original rear plastic and seat cover..... j/kin......Thanks.....:beer

Oh and another thing I noticed about mine and yours is that my shock resevoir thing is on the wrong side...... I wondered why my foot was always getting caught on that stupid thing....... look at my picture and see what I mean..... it was the retards I took my trike to cuz I had to have the case opened up twice...... mother f'ers.....

Dave223
04-08-2006, 04:02 PM
looks nice! just one question though. In the rear shot of the finished pics, is that your brake line going from the caliper to the resivoir? wouldnt that pull off? Just wondering, Dave

adamcostello31
04-08-2006, 04:05 PM
nope...i thought the same but i pulled up one the rear and it just stays where its do..doesnt streech or anything

BigGreenMachine
04-08-2006, 04:48 PM
Adam, after your done riding it put it back in the garage and retighten just about every bolt you can think of. Vibration these 2strokes make loosens just about everything.

Also, you need a rear grab bar, for your plastics sake.

Good Job man.

04-08-2006, 09:57 PM
thanks b'ys i gotta say she came along looking nice....i like the way she is now.. i'm thinkin bout gettin black boots for the forks?.. what do you think of that good idea or bad:w00t:

nouseforaname90
04-08-2006, 10:09 PM
I'd go red with the fork boots. It would blend the seat and hubs in with the tank better. I don't know how to explain what I'm thinking, but red is the way I would go.

you need some low pros on it (20's or 18's) depending on your riding. and you need a chrome pipe and that thing will be a bad arse looking trike.

cartmanchubs
04-09-2006, 02:08 AM
Red fork boots would look sweet...... definantly a grab bar, mine should be here monday...... http://www.prm-atv.com ...... and check out the sick swing arm gaurd they got, a little expensive but its nice...... I was gonna go with 18 or 20's but these things don't have as much top end cuz were missing a gear, I am gonna get 22's and I wouldn't go lower than that...... you'll lose a little top end ....... are you gonna try the lower sprocket???? sick bike dude.....

adamcostello31
04-09-2006, 06:16 PM
that swing arm guard wud be nice to have but o well lol...yea i mite get red boots

Chevy200s
04-12-2006, 09:40 AM
I would say go with the red boots as well. I think a good rule of thumb is to match the color of the boots with the seat. Thats what I did on my 250R and I dont think it looks too bad. Defintly not all stock though:lol:
Anyways, nice job on yours I like it!

Why is it black, white and red?

crd00
04-12-2006, 01:25 PM
Because it was that colour when he bought it, you dont like it? and chevy200s that looks like an xl600 headplate on the front of your R lol

Chevy200s
04-12-2006, 06:43 PM
haha, yeah its off an 85 XR 200R, but I kinda like the looks of it so I think Im gonna keep it on. Plus this way Im all set for a number plate when I take it to trikefest, lol

hey chevy2003 do you find it hard to keep tires on your bike?...mind got lots of leaks lol the back ones anyways lol:cry:

my back tires dont seem to leak at all. Why do they look low in the picture or something?:wondering The front tire has a slow leak in it, but I will fix that soon.

adamcostello31
04-17-2006, 12:24 PM
npe they dont look low in the pics but i bought a brand new tires for mind and the first run the were going flat.....i put them on in the nite and came out the next morning to ride her and they still had the same amount of air in them but when i went all day for a ride they started leaking:wondering i'm not sure wht the ply of the tire is

Chevy200s
04-17-2006, 12:50 PM
hmmm, that is strange. Is one or both of your rims really bent maybe? I have never had that problem on my 250R, but my 200s had similar problems. I think it ended up being the valve stems if I remember right. if I can think of anything to help though I will definitly let you know

adamcostello31
04-17-2006, 03:25 PM
alrite i'll check the valves.. thanks man:TrikesOwn
