250sx help needed

Has anyone ever bypassed the keyswitch on an 85 250sx? If so, how did you wire it up? My bike is actually missing the dash, just wondering how to wire around it to get spark. Thanks!!!

According to my manual you should have a 4 wire connector. You should be able to wire the red and black wires together to get spark. It might be a 3 wire connector with a black and white wire right beside it. Good luck Josh

If you are using the kick starter, then just leave it unplugged. The kill switch on the handlebars will work just like any other trike. If you want the electric starter to work, and the headlight to run off of the battery, then connect the two big wires (red and black) together. The key switch, and the kill switch are connected in parallel and kill the motor by grounding the ignition
