Trying to learn about reed spacers for low end torque increases.
What is everyone's experience?
What thickness? (1/4 inch, 1/2 inch, etc.)
Thanks

I have one on my 1981 250r, just have it to run a bigger carb. I dont think it really does much for low end. I have talked to a few people that say they dont do anything for performance.

it shifts the tourque curve to favor the low to mid band of the rev range by allowing the gas and air more room to mix. Ive noticed a differance by useing them, not mutch but there is a difference. I run a half inch spacer

I have a 1/2 inch on my 330 and a 3/8 on my 270. I don't know if they are worth it or not, but I have them. It isn't like a pipe change where you notice the change immediately. As 03 says, it is supposed to help bottom end.

i don't think theres a seat of the pants feeling ,, i think a dyno would be the only place where you would see a difference,,,, and i think its pretty small increase too,,,,,,,
