okay so i swapped the right fuel pump onto my 85 tri-z. it has been rebuilt now, all new lines(vacuum, and fuel) but still on a pull from a stop around third it acts like its running out of fuel. i have pulled the carb, cleaned it, checked float level, etc... im at 5000 foot elevation, have a 480 main jet, stage 1 yamawrench work done, and the plug reads nice......... also i installed a thermostat into my z where it was missing , however the t-stat has been discontinued thru yamaha, so i used a t-stat from the auto parts store that has a 180* temp. is this too hot ? the light doesnt come on however when i shut it off after riding it always pukes some coolant out..
thanks in advance

hey, from ny own experience on a Z when you are puking coolant out the overflow it is usually the head that is warped. The head gets warped and allows compression to get into the coolant system. Which would allow coolant to blow out the overflow tube. Hope this helps.

It might be a little It should open from 145.4 to 152.6 degrees F. according to the manual.
