theres this MX track in stillwater oklahoma, that looked pretty cool to ride on, but they don't allow threewheelers because they said they weren't made for MX but i was like what about when they raced them in the 80's all the 250r,tecates,200x's the people used to MX race.and their like i've never heard of people racing Mx on threewheelers and i said well they used to and they still wouldn't let us that sucked and it made me mad. people can ride just as good on MX on threewheelers as people can on fourwheelers. :(

How old were they? what a ridiculous statement. If quads race on it, 3-wheelers would be fine too. Sadly there's a lot of folks out there brainwashed by the cpsc and afraid of lawsuits.

Do you know if Guy Cooper still lives in Stillwater? He rode motocross (bikes) for Team Suzuki in the late 80s, early 90's. Maybe he rode Honda's before Suzuki in the 80s, I used to know for sure.

Just curious.

Was this the "500?" That is its nickname, but its official name is the Stillwater Motocross Park. It is on the SW side of town, out in the hills. If so, that place is run by Guy Cooper. Kenny Bartram (Guy's nephew) is out there a lot, too. Yes, Guy still lives there. I know both him and Kenny. The only other places I know of in Stillwater are Guy's personal track ( ) and the GP-type track out at the I-35/51 junction. I've never ridden the GP track, but I went out there with a buddy of mine a few times. It's a very fast track. Lots of fourth and fifth gear sections. Guy's track is just as you would expect from him: HUGE! It was a little too much for my skill level. I feel very lucky to have ridden it because no one except him and his relatives and friends get to ride it.

Oh, OK. I had a feeling it was that place. Have you ever been to the 500? If not, GO! It's worth it. That place is awesome. I haven't been there for about four years. I think you have to go by city hall to get a key for it. IIRC, you also have to buy a one-year membership or something. We just had copied keys that Guy gave to us. It has an awesome MX track that loops through the woods and has a supercross section, too. Lots of natural elevation changes. Do you think you could clear a 30 vertical feet uphill triple? :naughty: There's also a small GP track as well as a woods loop. I think the woods loop is twelve miles long. I have no idea if it's even open anymore, but if it is, it is well worth the trip.
