Hello , i just found a friend who wants to sell his All Stock Yamaha Tri Z 250 -1985

it's all stock and in good shape , little bite of rust here and their & has a title .

is it hard to find part's for this bike or aftermarket ?

can someone list details on this Bike ?

what's a good price to offer ? :confused:

I'm new to this world of ATC's , few weeks ago i bought my first ATC Honda 250R '1985 / all stock ! :w00t:

Awesome threads !

any more info on basic maintenance ?

oil chages , raidiator fluids , brake fluids ect ...

Should i use synthetic oil and what grade ?

Definately buy the bike, you'll love it! It's like a cadillac compared to the R. Much roomier, and lots of low end grunt.

Ceaser, you use 10W30 in the tranny, all the other stuff is self explanitory.
Buy a manual, the best money you can spend IMO. Drain and replace tranny fluid for sure, if its milky your water seal much be pooched. Thats the most common problem with Z's is water impeller failures. The shaft will seperate from the head and boom overheat.

what is he asking for it? Out of the 4 years i have had my Z i have never had any waterpump impeller problems, knock on wood.

I hadnt with mine in 20 years as well, I asked old owner. But when I cracked case I had to replace it and thats where it all started!
