View Full Version : Speedometer mounting pics needed..

Can someone that has a 250sx or Big Red or... any speedo setup for that matter. please post a close up pic of the gearbox and the hub. I need to see the part with the slot that fits into the hub spacifically. I've had this front axle off three times now and my speedo still wont work. :rolleyes:

I'm not sure If I have the grarbox snug enough into the hub and I dont want to go hammering on it for that matter. Any tips?

I dont know if i should try and tap it in there with a mallet or take the hub off and try to straighten it out that way?

Worse case, you may have to buy a hub off ebay. They usually arent much.

I think they are the same hub.

The hub is the same, but the axle and spacers are different. ;)

Spacers? What are these spacers that you speak of? See, what I'm thinking is thre something missing from there to hold the gearbox snug up agaist the hub?

thanks John. There is some space between the gearbox and the fork.. you just can't see it in those pics.
