Hey guys I need to get rid of my tri-z but luckily my dad is going to buy it. So at least I'll be able to get it back one of these days if I want it. I'm going to change the oil on it for him before I let him have it because I haven't changed it since I bought it. (Don't flame me please it was changed the day I bought it and its only got about 10-15 hours on it;) )
My question is, what kind of oil are you supposed to use. I did a search but didn't really find anything, I swear I've asked this before but I can't find it. I've heard some people say 10w30 and others say 80w. Thats a BIG difference. What does yamaha recommend and how much? How do you check it since there is no dipstick.

i use 10w30....there is a hole in the clutch cover you have to remove, after its removed , the oil level will rise in the cases and when its full, it runs out that hole , 1 quart is about what it holds
