atc vs trx

i have a 1986 trx 250r with parts that i wanna put on my 1985 atc 250r are the parts betwwen these bike os years interchangeable.....please advise with as much info as you can...........also selling another atc 250r........:Bounce

I'm pretty sure that most of the parts are interchangeable. Don't quote me on that, but I'm almost positive that the engines were the same.

The rear swingarms are a tad different from 85 to 86. It will all still work though. Just have to use the 86 rear brake caliper, carrier, axle. Most of the other parts are pretty obvious if they interchange.

I can tell you the seat cover doesnt match. 85-89 motors should match.
