Question about 350x and 300ex simularities

Does anyone know if the shift shaft out of a 300ex will work in a 350x? Maybe with slight modification?

I need to find a shift shaft and would prefer a new one but low and behold, discontinued from honda acording to service honda..not a big surprise but kinda stinks.

Well,can't really give you an answer on that,but,the trx350 and the x share the same cam.Maybe some parts from the trx are interchangeable?

the atc350 shares ALOT with the trx350. I just picked up a 350x with a valve that dropped and chewed up the head, piston and cylinder. All of these parts interchanged. A Wiseco piston kit for the X is also the same kit for the TRX. If you cannot find one, Pm me, I will see if I can get it out of the junker trx. Dave

I just checked that junker, the shifter is welded on, front and rear!!!! Ive seen em welded on one side, but not both...sorry
