Thanks John, I got a freebie ATC speedo at the junk yard the other day... the glass was broke... I just needed to know how that ring came off... I got it...

I have taken sevral off and there is no quick way , at least that I have found.
I use a small flat tip pocket type of screw driver and get it started prying up a portion of the ring and work all the way around to the trip meter reset area (I never have tried to bend the lip up under that area for fear of snapping off the knob).
Once all the way around I start over and work the lip up a wee bit more all the way around and probbly will hafta do it a third time ,,, then it should come off easy enough.

Well I used these pliers and a screwdriver. as soon as I got a section pried up I just worked the pliers al the way around... took five minutes... Now does that needle just pull off? I gave it a little tug but did'nt want to push my luck... I am going down to the glass shop and see if they can cut me a new piece of glass for it...

I have ordered many parts from these guys. They are great. I know them as Hyperparts:beer

Yup. Hyperparts is my main man for getting cheap parts. They ship very fast and have very good prices.. you can't ask for more than that!

Yeah, thanks Blaze! I didn't know about that one. I posted a couple weeks ago asking if anyone knew where I could get 250SX swingarm bearings for less than $48 each, which is what Bikebandit and my local dealer has them for. Hyperparts has them for $10! :w00t: That makes my day!
