me and my brother. his name is swigin on here. are working on putting a built 350x engine in a trx 250r frame. all the old guys like me that raced in the early 90's will remember the RX's.
well we found out the oil pump housing is wore real bad inside from the steel gear wearing agianst the aluminum case. the steel gears inside spinning wears away the housing. we even checked my freinds built 350x and it was wore also + his 2 extra parts motors were also. his was apart since he's making it a 475cc stroker and big bore.
they are disconituned:mad: so we ordered a 300ex one and the only difference is the drive gear thats on the outside with the shaft that goes threw the pump. we just used the 350x drive gear on the outside and it works perfect.
just letting people know on here that need a good one for there motor. with the worn housing like ours you will get hardly any oil pressure so it will not pump as much as it should at idle and lower eninge speeds.
