Hi, Just figured i would post up some pictures of the 86 200x my uncle just picked up. maybe this weekend when he comes over i'll get some of the 84 he got as well. He picked this one up for $600 then went and got new aftermarket back plastic for it.

Where did he get the aftermarket plastic? Does it come in red for a 85 200x?

I think he got the plastic from denniskirk because its free shipping after $100 i don't remember what he payed....as far as i know you can still get 85 200x plastic and yes in red.

Good deal, have fun fixing your 200X up. Really enjoy my 86 200X ever since I got it six months ago. Here is mine after restoring the fenders with Plastic Renew. For anyone out there who says Plastic Renew is junk, I beg to differ. Mine turned out extremely well.

Nice 350X. For some reason white fenders look nice on some bikes.
I didn't want to get rid of OEM fenders just because they were cracked and faded. I also had to use a plastic welder which worked out well too. Both sides were broken where I drew a line on the picture. Here is the before pics.
I'll probably make my own stencil for the seat so it says "ATC" on either side.
I don't know why anyone says Plastic Renew is a waste of money, if you take your time and follow the instructions you'll end up with like new shiny fenders.

Plastic Renew is a liquid solvent or chemical that you apply with a cloth after wet sanding the plastic. After applying a few coats, you buff with steel wool and re-apply. It does take some time sanding if you want it to really look good, but the results are worth it.
