i grew up on one since i was 6. I still have it, restored it over last winter, and will never sell it. I ride my 350x and 250r, but there are times when ill pull it out and have more fun on it then riding the others. They are great machines, and extremely simple to fix anything wrong with it.

Make sure your niece and nephew are careful on it...what ages are they? The unsuspended models are more prone to throw a rear wheel in the air when taking a corner, but you can get used to it pretty easily. Make sure you watch them close before you let them go on it.

Id say grab it up...do you have a link so we can scope it out and say our share on it?

Hope this helps,
Mike

ddw, The 185s and 200s are deceptively fast machines. speeds over 50 are not uncommon. Those kinds of speed and hardtail suspension can be a recipe for fun, or disaster, depending on the experience of the rider. I would say pick up a nice 110, slower and cheaper too. I wouldn't let unexperienced riders on a 185\200. Just my opinion.

They are awesome machines. Hardtails are very fun machines!! I'd get it for them. And not to mention they are rock solid and reliable.

And where do you live? I'm about an hour from Grant, PA.

That looks like the exact year and model of my first trike. I had a blast and no problems, of course it was brand new back then, but I loved the hard tail aspect of it, I was a very light kid, about 130 or so back then and I loves the way you could hit a small jump really fast and lean back a little and it would land perfect for my weight, later my dad bought me a 250 sx and I didn't have enough weight to control it propoerly a little scary, I eventually grew into it and I still have it, but I will alway remember the 200s and mudholes and jumps and hills. Great little machine.

i emailed him and asked for a list of stuff that needed attention or repaired, explaining to him that i understand how old it is and expect to do some repairs.i also mentioned to him ive had a rash of dishonest ebayers lately[not all of themthough] saying stuff like "runs great or starts on 1-2 pulls, and the classic"put gas in and have fun"..none to be true, only to find out after threating with horrible feedback the true problems with the machines..people must get these thing running and shut them off as soon as you show up to get them!..everything usually gets worked out in the end though.i actually never left bad feedback for people, its ashame you have to threaten it to get the truth about something they describe as a excellent machine...this guy hasnt sent me anything back yet,i emailed him yesterday....

I have an 84 200s, nice machine. I've got a soft spot for the old hardtails. Mine is pretty quick and pretty light too, easy to load without ramps, my BR on the other hand is not easy to load.
