I have this Big Red at school I have been working on for this guy. overhauled it, replaced bearings etc. Now when I hold the shifter down, it wont just sit there like it should, I can hold it down and drive. Normally you can't move, kinda lik you are in neutural. I have adjusted the clutch everyway I can. Help anyone???

Did you have the right side case off ( clutch cover )? If so, did you put all the parts back in correctly?
The adjuster is on the clutch cover towards the back. If it's the same as a 250sx ( I can't remember right now, too tired ), then you turn it counter clockwise until slight resistance is felt. Then turn it clockwise 1/8th a turn ( on 250sx's you turn 1/4 turn ), then tighten the lock nut down and you should be good to go.

I've tried adjusting it, and I havent had the cover off. I only overhauled the topend. I know the clutched are bad, I just dont want to get that deep into this, and he dosent want to put the money into it yet. But it dont matter what way I turn the adjuster, it never changes.
