today i went for some good riding here in mesa, and it brought up a few problems. number one, my back shock has no travel, i think its blown but id rather just find a different one at a junk yard than fix this one. what fits and works back there? also, it seems like every atc ive ridden had a little wobble to it when parked, it felt loose, and could sway a little. whats causing that? also my bike pulls to the right. is it front bearings?
Sorry bud but I have been looking for the same shock for a year. After buying about 5 (bad) shocks off ebay I finally got one in good shape. You will probably have to have yours rebuilt. They show up on ebay all the time, but like I said be careful. These shocks are over 20yrs old. So they all have some use. If this one I have now goes, I will definately look at a rebuild. And there are no retrofitable shocks without major fab.
good luck bud

If it pulls to one side try to wheelie it and see if it yanks you to one side. If it does, your tires have uneven air pressue, or your axle is bent badly but I think you would notice that. Also make sure your forks and everything are straight.

Later today I'm gonna call Hydrodynamics and see if they will re-build my 85 ATC250R shock and I'll see what they charge for an 84 when I call.
