Can someone tell me what i should try to make my axel all shiny and chrome looking on my 86 X?Here is a pic of it...

My guess is either polish it and use a good clear coat on it so it doesn't rust, or get it powder coated a chrome-color.

so some places can polish it? but its steel isnt it?

you can have it re anodized

i would be more worried about the frame damage :)

Yeah.. I thought about that right after I posted and didn't want to bother chaning it.. lol
Anodizing, chroming, or PC'ing are your options, really.

lol no that is how i bought my new rear end. There is a guy i know has prolly 100 or more 3 wheelers in parts,, and dirtbikes, sleds, and quads. So much junk/stuff. Its an atv junkyard really

Once your trike is running simply elevate the rear tires off the ground.. while the rear axle is spinning simply use a scour pad or steel wool to shiner her rite up. use some clear coat on there to protect and you'll be good to go.

Uhm I've never looked into anodizing but..
Chroming.. www.brotherscustomchrome.com.. check them out and see if they have it on their price list.
And PC'ing would probly run you around $40 or less. www.absolutepowdercoating.com. They are the closest PC'er to me that charges the best rates. Try them out for and idea about pricing.
My guess is that PC'ing would be cheaper and look good, but chrome would probly be shinier.

ya i used wool on my x axle and cleared it and it turned out good:)

It will look good but not polished...right? A kicka** turnout would be like a dirablue.....
