I just picked up an 83-84R , sort of a basket case. The guy who had it was redoing it, got the front end on, engines in place, everything is blasted and painted. He tried to run it, couldnt get fire to the plug, then sold it to me for 500. I brought it home , replaced the sheared key under the fly wheel and fired it up on the second kick:lol:

Anyhow, my questions are:
Whats the proper mix for gas/oil?

When I turn on the fuel with no fuel line attached I get good flow, when I connect the fuel line, nothing...wont even trickle out of the petcock. It just stops flowing. I using clear fuel line so I know its not coming out....the tank cap vent is open, petcock is clean, carb was pulled and thouroly(sp) cleaned...what could it be?

can 85 fenders be put on this year easily?

Anyone have the front bushing, left side, outer most part of the swing arm? {sorry its hard to describe} Or possibly the whole swinger minus the carrier, Cheap!! Its all Im needing so far to finish putting this thing together!!!

Any tips or tricks I should know about? This is my first 2 stroke...I know zilch

I know I have more questions...just cant think of em right now..Dave

as far as the fuelflow, take your carb off.there are vent holes in the casing of the carb.those or the vent tubes might be fuel of mud.this will not allow the negative pressure to fill the float bowl.or you float is stuck closed at the needle and seat.
