I was just wondering if anybody ever tried the Pro Circuit Platinum pipe
of the ī86 KX 250 on his Tecate.Since the DG Extreme pipes are discontinued they go for over 300$ on eBay and thatīs a little too much.
The PC Platinum for the KX is still available for 190$.
I would try it myself, but canīt get the pipe here in Germany.

Hey Green, are there any junkyards around you in Germany? If it's not impossible for you, you could buy or borrow a cheap stock 86 KX 250 pipe and your question will be answered. If the stock pipe fits well, chances are very good the ProCircuit Pipe will too. The pipe only has to be good enough to check fit. I would think if a man could find Tecate parts over there like you do, you could find a KX much easier! I'll keep an eye out myself for a really cheap one. Maybe I can get to a junkyard and I can try 85-87 and possibly 88-89. If you compare the drawings of the 86 KX and 86 KXT pipes on buykawasaki.com, they are really similar, except the stinger end which has different bends. 88/89 looks way different in the drawings but it's hard to tell from microfiche drawings what a fellar can really get away with. ;)

The nearest junkyard around here is my backyard, but you will only find 3wheeler parts there :-)
I think you are right and I will try my luck at ebay.de to find some KX stuff, I want some chromed stuff for my Tecate and my Tecate BigWheeler.

Before you gonna kill me for making a 3wheeler-BigWheeler conversion I must say something.
I didnīt have enough parts to build another Tecate 3 and the plastics are so $$$.So Iīm building a BigWheeler using the USD front fork with custom clamps and hub and a custom aluminium swingarm with a 12x8" Douglas wheel.I got the swingarm back from the welder today, still needs some machining and another weld job.
Project might be done end of the year or so.

Yes, I make custom parts, but only for the Tri-Z and the ī86 Tecate 3.
So I can test if the parts really fit the bike.
