84R

Well here she is found in the cycler trader and shipped in from Arizona :w00t:

Not NEW by any means but a very respectable and fairly LOW hour machine. Love a machine theat hasnt been messsed with. All stock and original with exception of a few small odds and ends. No restore on this until a few other projects are completed but she looks nice as she sits. I may do some NOS bolts ons that I have until she is ready for the OC makeover

I use JC motors which doesnt require crating or putting on a pallet...just drain the gas and its rolled onto a truck and a cover is put over it... Pricey $580.00 but its easy to talk sellers into shipping who wouldnt otherwise.

Dammit!

Yep. That looks like an Arizona trike alright. Nice catch.

The 81 R project is full at full steam and coming out phenomenal...Mike at vintage put the NOS motor pieces together and it looks like I should display it in a honda crate....His work is incredible...Will be done in the near future...

Here is a pic of the motor

Looks like she's ben well kept and rarely used. I had an '84 awhile back, good machines. Can't wait to see that '81 when it's done- the motor looks like it was made yesterday! I've got a NOS '83-84 rear hub if you need one.

That gas tank looks pure premium on that one! Usually they come with knee dents or dings.

Oh boy.... I can start feeling the pressure of having that NOS Hondaline HL guard and the 83-84R Fairing mount here. Oh that's right... I already traded you the NOS front tire! hahaha ... That'll buy me some time before I feel obliged to get that other NOS Hondaline 83-84R stuff to you! :welcome:

PS - When are you going to get a US90??? :beer

Hmmm... thinking Queen or David Bowie. Bill... I'm sure we can find something to swap. However, the 81-82R bracket is staying here. ;)

:D Yes whoever did that engine;) does incredible work....so incredible I have to hold the rest of the pics of his work because all the parts are so nice seeing them all at once may cause permanent damage to someones retinas.

members will have to wear special shades when viewing the machine in its entirety...Remember the goal has been to build the NICEST 81 first year R on the planet ......its almost there

Well... if you want to do some Hondaline 81R photo ops, I MIGHT beable to loan you a NOS tripmeter kit and the NOS fairing bracket. BORROW... mind you.... However, I got to come down and be there and baby sit the parts! hehhe (and of course, be one of the first to tour your museum!)

Bruce "Hondaline" Hartman....

PS -- Still think you need to get a US90 to go in the collection. It is the other "Milestone" trike that Honda has on their website.... just the US90 and the 81R. I think HOnda ought to have the 350X in there too. :(

GREAT idea!!!....I can borrow and I may even give it back with to much of a fight.

A US90 is will definetly be there someday...only a matter of time...Can't do to much at once! then whats left i there to do?? :D

Bill have you ever considered restoring a Pilot FL400r,'89/90,they are certainly one of Hondas finest ATV's from that era and parts are still plentiful from Honda, ive stock piled a mountain of NOS parts for mine when i get to that stage.
I love your machines, each one shows your incredible eye for detail i hope one day to visit and view them to fully appreciate your work.
