I know I got a Bunch of Bearings from my dealer that were Moose Bearings. Try looking them up. Good luck, we need some more Tecates out there.

If the shock is no good it might be wise just to get a replacement. I put a raptor shock in mine and couldnt be happier. Find them pretty cheap on ebay too.

I have heard of people putting raptor shocks in tecates. Do they fit right in or do some changes have to be made? And do they fit in the 86 tecates also?

Basicly a bolt in mod. The 85 needs two 1/8 spacers put on the bottom mount and a larger bolt used in the top mount. I have one in mine and couldn't be happier.

Enigma, can you send a larger pic of your Tecate, preferably your avatar pic to James_escortracing@msn.com? Please

awesome another green machine being restored. try bikebandit.com, i have found alot of my parts for my 85 on there. i have an extra pivot off an 84, not sure what shape the bearings are in, but it seemed ok before i started my rebuild. if you cant find one give me a shout.
