Well during my travels in the past 2 days I ran across a KLT 110. 1985 model. Its in really good shape. Needs the cobb-webs and dust blown off. Bike is all there. Plastic is perfect. Seats about perfect. Headlight shroud is complete and it has a rear rack. The way he talked it just wouldnt crank one day. Anyway he offered it to me at a pretty decent price. I know they are not as common as the Hondas or Yamahas at that. What do you guys know or think. He said it had a lot of power for a 110. Im thinking about grabbing it. Its about 15 miles from the house. Oh yeah did I mention that I found a 1986 Honda 125M. Electric start and reverse. Nice shape too. Guys thinking about selling it to me. :naughty: Spoted it from the road too. I guess I have good eyes. I spot these things everywhere.

Willie (86waterpumper) had one and had a blast on it. It was faded nicely pink and smoked but for getting drunk and running thru the woods pumper loved it! HAHA:lol:

They aren't a phantom, they do ok although, they seem to have a better bottom end than the newer Honda-110's ,the big issue is electrics (CDI), like most kawasaki trikes but parts are cheaper on these than the 200/250 series. no suspension, ok for yards, mud etc, not great on long hills with rocks, loose gravel - they tend to spin out rather than power out - not good for kids who want to jump. I'd be looking at the top end to make sure the cam isn't seized and the oil pump is working ok

Thanks man. it actually has front forks like a 200s or 250sx does. There were no oily spots and the engine freely turned over. Im looking for a bike that the wife to ride. Doesnt have to be a power house. Thanks for the info. I will definately check to see if its getting spark.

This is exactly what it looks like minus the Gay looking front tire. Oh yeah and it has a rear rack. Check this thread out.

I've never seen a suspended 110 front but they made a suspended 160 and 185 so there's no reason the 110 shouldn't be suspended on the later versions.

I have a Kawasaki 110. Mines pretty well toast but for a 110, the thing will get along good. They have there issues with trannys from what I am told. Other than the shifter breaking off the one I have, the trans seems to be ok on it.

The klt110s are a fairly nice trike, nice heavy duty frame, and many of the parts are still available. You can still get the factory tank, less than $120 when I got mine year and a half ago and I still have a factory set of the rear fenders. Red seems to be the less common of the 2 colors, other is black. You can find some neat accessories, nos on ebay, mostly aftermarket. I had a nos bassini pipe, trailer hitch, 6 pack rack and a brush guard, it was pretty cool. The shifter shaft did seem to be the weak point on them. You can still get those from the dealer. Either they would break, or strip out at the shifter pedal. You can find alot of nos parts on ebay at real good prices. Not too many people have klts or mess with them. Not many performance parts for them though and the headlight shroud and some of the nuts, bolts and washers for the headlight are tough to find.
