250r radiator shroud mounting question?

what do the OEM bolts look like? is there supposed to be washer under the bolts? anyone got a pic of the OEM mounts?

Yeah they are like a flanged type of washer.

It's a 6mm, 1.25 thread pitch bolt with 8mm hex head. The washer is actually a washer that looks like it has a specer molded to the back of it. The spacer part tightens down against the mounting surface, so the pressure of the bolt is not applied directly to the plastic shroud. If you just use a regular washer against the plastic, the plastic will crack. This is why so many of the shrouds you see have those small cracks at the bolt holes. I got all new bolts and special washers from Honda for mine.

Here you go. The bolt in the pic isn't OEM. It's from "fastenerguy"s stainless steel kit on ebay. The washer was stuck on there. :lol:

The bigger washer only goes on one bolt (the very bottom one). The smaller one goes on all the others.

Edit: obviously I have not washed the R since I went to Glamis. Look at all the pretty grains of sand on there. :naughty:

Why?...Just order them. I ordered mine from service honda. I went crazy and ordered all kinds of the little nic nac fasteners and washers.
