Ok the bolt holes are starting to bug me so I want to cut the plastics so they still look nice. The first pic is how it curently looks and the second is my idea of how to cut them up.
And the third is just for kicks, its how you know a Gator is around.

personaly i would leave a little more at the bottom of the fender, round it off like a tri z thoes gaters are going to throw some mud ,that would give you a little more protection , the upper dont look bad!

Nate thats definately way to much at the bottom. Start with almost nothing at the bottom and slowly go up to just cutting the holes off. But thats my opion, and you know what they say about opions.....lol

Not me, I'd go with something like this, just because you already have the sporty front fender and number plate. Throw on a set of 20" holeshots this summer and it'll be TOUGH!
PS. Have you ever tryed Softscrub on your white plastic? Works great! You can get it at your local grocery store under cleaning supplies.
Dammit!

I'd just put the black mudflaps back on.

Derrick- I was trying alot of different things today from orange clean to windex but nothing wants to get the dirt out. I'll try that softscrub stuff. Our water out side is frozen so I cant even take a hose to it till this weekend, once it warms up to 60 :w00t:. You do some pretty neat stuff with photoshop.
Dammit- See these arent SX fenders, they are 200x rears. Those bolt holes were actually made by the previous owner so he could put MACK Truck mud flaps on it. See the pic...
One last question.... I'm thinking a grinder will work best to shave them. I tried using hacksaws in the past but they were a pain. I figure with a grinder followed by a dremel it will work better. Any other ideas?

Skip the grinder and go straight to the dremel with a small cut off tool installed. Works real fast and quick! That's how I shaved my rears on Casper.

I'd definately use the dremel with a cut off tool. It will be a very clean cut. Either that or be VERY precise with a razor. Thats alot harder though.

ok I have a cone and a mushroom attachment I'll use tomorrow once I ask some friends which way they like it more. I'm leaning toward the higher cut at the moment that you made derrick.

Don't use the tools that you have for cutting the fenders. They will quickly fill with melted plastic and be useless. You can buy the attachment and the cutting discs for less than $10 at your local Walmart. The cutting discs will make quick work of those fenders. Besides, if you don't already have that attachment, you'll love it once you do. I use mine all the time! Especially for cutting out bearing races from inside swingarms!
