How exactly is this performed? Anybody have any pictures of the process. I am having noise from the top end and want to make sure the valves are adjusted properly.

I just did mine a couple weeks ago. This is what I did.
First I took off both vavle covers and the plastic screw cap on the flywheel cover. Using a 17 or 19mm socket (can't remember) turn the flywheel slowly and watch the valves.. When one side loosens up (you'll be able to move it slightly with your finger). Use a 10mm wrench and loosen the nut up real good on top of the valves. Then you slide a .3 to .8 (or anything inbetween) feeler under the arm and on top of the valve. (you might have to bend it to make it fit). Then i tightened the valve down until theres only a little bit of tension on the feeler.(the little square tip in the center of that nut) retighten the 10mm nut, pull out the feeler, put the caps back on and you should be good to go. There other methods as well but this took away my ticking sound.
