ok hers the deal i need a TRI-Z pipe... badly... i've got a ported YZ250 powered tri-z.... it;s got a +8 arm on it... shearer makes and out of frame pipe... but i want a pipe thats "inframe" any ideas???? i can;t do the total custom pipe thing.... im in IN

try ftz, i know they have the outframe, maybe they make an inframe as well

buy a yz pipe and mod it to fit or pay someone to cut and reweld it to fit. if your running the yz topend, makes sense to runa yz pipe.

the only problem with the YZ pipe is that this thing is aggressivly ported....

LRD use to make a pipe for the Z. Also try power Pros. Maybe you can convince one of the two to make one for you.

did anybody make and hand made pipes for tri-z's. reaplyed to a post a guy had posted on another site said he had a tri-z pipe that was section welded around the bend on the chamber....

Yes. LRD and the Power Pros pipes are both cone pipes. The LRD on my Z is a sectional.

ok this one is sectional... i'm awaiting some pics.... i know a LRD is gonna be more of a midrange pipe.. but at least i won't eb disgracign my Z with a DG

i actually have a set of dynoport banshee pipes.. they perfrom well...... heres my problem though... don't they need the trike for a custom fit inframe pipe???? they are in NY i'm in IN

yes they do thats a problem! Im going to call them monday and see if they are going to need the whole bike or if i can bring up a dg or stock pipe and maybe they can keep the specs on file?

im going to call them monday and find out how mutch its going to cost and if they need the bike or just an old pipe? and priceing on plated and without ill let you know, it would be easer for me to get my bike there im not too far away . ill know more monday they are real pricey though i was looking at blaster pipes the works pipe and the mid top are 299 factory finish and nickel is 324 OUTCH!!!!! and thats for a blaster,gotta figure a costum pipe might be more??????

well i can tell you about the plating.... they nickle plate and it's not the best job i've ever seen.... they have bad experiances with the platers around them.... the plating is not worth the $50 they charge IMO... like i said i have banshee pipes from them... they perform great though..... and the silencers are kinda cheapo also..... but if it'sa mid-top sylte inframe for a tri-z i'm all for it

What is wrong with a DG? I have one and I think it does real well. Probably not as good as a LRD. I had a fully adjustable LRD on a 250R quad I used to have and it was awesome. Not tryin to argue with you, I am really wondering if there is something wrong with DG..

anything i;ve had DG (except nerfs) was complete garbage.... thier pipes are crap from what i've seen and heard ..... i hear the tri-z pipes are nice that they have but.. it still doesn't come anywhere near my application.....

yea, chris is'nt going to put aDG on his Z. Trust me, I've seen it and it is nice!! Like he said the only thing good I have to say about DG are they're nerfs are ok. Grab bars, broke em, pipes, Tabs break off and sound like crap. Anyway, when we ridin' chris? About got these Tecates ready to go. Need some gaskets, chain and brake lines and I'm set! Also how's the blaster going?

Are you running the stock fuel tank? I know I was playing around with my Z and it sure looked to me that if the fuel pump wasn't in the way my 250R pipe and silencer would fit on there with little mods.

Ok heres the deal with dyno port ....they have the specs but they do need a bike because they dont have a jig ...they quoted me $375 a pipe if theres 2 made $50 extra for nickel...$100 extra for cermic coating..now our shop is a dealer for there pipes so he said he would knock off $50 on each pipe....so its going to be $325 for a factory finish no silencer! and of corse the price will go down if theres more orderd and it dosent matter what kind you want mid-top or works! .....one pipe is going to be $450 through our shop.
Now pesonaly i cant afford that kind of money right now so if we can get some more people together on this it will work out for everyone, being cheeper and ill take my bike there.

that seems expensive to me..... but thats really all i can get i guess i'll buy one..... and then try and figure out a silencer on my own..... the no silencer thing kinda sucks but i'm out of options.....

well you can get a silencer but its going to cost more!! Its too expensive for me unless you can get more people in , I can get 2 pipes for that price!

ya i say 5 to 10 would be ideal more the merryer i can call back up there and find out how mutch cheeper they will be with more people ,It would be nice to get it down to 200 a pipe!!!!!!! Ill call there tomorrow and find out how many we need to get it so there $200 a pipe and find out how mutch with silencer , I want mine to hook up to a dg silencer because ive got a brand new one allready.but the others can be with theres or a dg

just got off the phone with dyno port they said if we get 5 people for pipes that they would build them for 300 each and the silencer for 100 thats as cheep as they can go for a custom applacation we need 3 more people!!!!!
he also said that it would be the same price even if we had 25 pipes because the jig cost $700 so thats about all the wheelen and dealing i can do with them! let me know!!!! WHO NEEDS A AWSOME PIPE FOR A Z!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????

all this talk about a tri z pipe, are these pipes for the powervalved motor or just a worked tri z motor? cause right now i have an old dg pipe for my powervavled z and its ok, i picked up a PSI pipe for the YZ motor but the pipe is in real rough shape and it exits on the other side of the bike. i can mod it to fit, but a nice clean pipe built by dynoport would be killer. especially if it was a top/mid pipe. I know a guy who worked there for 4 years welding pipes for dynoport, i went to college with him. he just graduated this past year with me. I can talk to him maybe he can get us a better deal on the pipes since he and rich are friends. Ill drop him an email and see what he says. Any info on the pipe that dynoport would be building for the z would be great. Id def be interested if we can get it to about 300 a pipe.

well... if you change the design fomr what they make for the others buying in... they wil probaly charge you for a diferent design.. and it'll be about $100 more than anybody elses... i think the original prices were $400 each or 5 for $300 each

will the 1/2" make it more of a top end pipe???? if so i want that too....
