locked up motor

alright me friend has a 86 frame in really nice shape and he is going to try to put a cr125 in it, well he got a motor that needed a rebuild so me and him tore the motor apart last night and the ring was seized right in the piston, what would cause that, to lean of mixture or what? any ideas? thanx

I dont know. Put it back together and filler with motor oil. Wait over night and free it up.

well we got the piston out but we were looking at it to see what was wrongs becuase the bike had no compresstion at all and we seen the the ring was preety much melted right into the piston, any thoughts?
