I'm new to the forum and new to owning an ATC so don't rip me apart;

Just the other night I found out that a guy I work with had a 85 350X in his garage and talked him into giving it to me for a cool $170. He didn't have any idea what it was. All he knew was that his brother in law left it there for a long time and he wanted it out of his garage. I took her home the same night.. right in the back of my work van. :p

It needs some work; new bars, plastics, brake and clutch levers. But it's anything but a wreck. All it needs to run and play with is the clutch lever really.. but i'm the kind of guy who goes all out with the toys when I get one.

FINALLY TO MY QUESTION:

I am trying to get some maier plastics on this sucker and I don't feel like getting ripped off just to buy a set on eBay that are listed for a 350X so I wanted to ask if the front and rear fender of a 250R or 200X are interchangable with those on a 350X. If so, please let me know what years.

I doubt it but they might. The front might atleast. but you will pay as much for R fenders new for 350x... just go to denniskirk.com and buy a set of fenders shouldnt be over 230 for the set prolly.

I know for sure the front fender is not. THe bolt pattern is narrower on the 350X. I doubt the rear would work either. Stick with the 350X fenders. Nice score, unbeatable price!

The 86-87 200X front fender will interchange with the 350X from what i'm told.

Thanks for the help guys, I think I'll just go with the regular set of front and rear Maier's with the air deflectors too.. $260 something isn't too bad. I don't wanna be riding around on it the way it looks right now.

The things I am doing right now are replacing the bars with moose bars, renthal grips, new cluth and brake handlebar assemblies (lever and cradle). Gutting the bike and giving it a real good wipedown. Giving the engine a good tune up and cleaning, replacing brake pads, getting some oil on the chain, etc. I also have a new seat cover on the way along with a red, white, and gray KBC helmet to go with my new red trike.

Can't wait to start playing around on this thing in the summer. I am keeping it at my brother's place up in the Poconos (Northeast PA). He lives in a development on the border of Hickory Run State Park so there are plenty of fields, pipelines, woods, even tracks and parks.
