If you could take one persons trike for a ride, once, not keep it, whos trike would it be, I would have to say "nouseforaname90"'s 250SX, I love the looks of that thing and I have always wanted to ride a 250sx.
How bout you?

Dammit!

Sure man.... anytime! It wouldn't be new for it. hehehehe And actually, you would be the second besides myself to ride it like it oughta.... well.. then again... does the :banned: and nameless count on these boards? :wondering Anyhow..... Dave, you still got that white 82R? I'd love to take that out with all the upgrades/mods you did to it. No mud though.. I'd like to go to a real sand dune with it!

I ridden a 86 200X, Polarus, and my US90 w/ big tires. Obviously all the trikes I own too. I'd like to take Todd's 81 300R out... never did at Trikefest before the big rain. Guess I could get around to fixing/installing my own 300R motor in that roller I got at last Trikefest.

Believe it or not, it's been since back in the day that I've ridden ANY watercooled trikes! Erectordale... how's the Tiger's fairing for Haspin? oh... and your upcoming wedding too!

This is a cool thread...Hmmm....In all honesty, I'm gonna have to say Howdys Project ATC90 that use to belong to Dean Kirsten. Just to be able to be a part of something like that, that has so much history would be awesome on a whole new plain of existence heh.

I would like to take one of orangecountys Tecate's (the 86 or 87) for a spin. I know there prolly stock so I could actually get the feel for one. Next to that, Prolly ErectorDale's 87 200X. I rode my 86 around a few time and that thing was a blast.

i would have to say either derics casper or 3leggs 250r those are some of the sweetest 250r's ive seen...and i would love to try out a Cagiva

02-24-2006, 03:01 PM
I'd go with Dammit's R... that thing looks good and stock.. but a bit faster... anything more than that would result in my killing myself !!! lol....

I've always wanted to try an R.... could hae ridden Adam250sx's 81 R but was still new to trikes and did'nt want to wreck it !! hahahaha..

if i could ride any trike i wanted i woudl say my 350x. but its so pretty that i want to keep it that way and verry anal about when and where it goes. but any quad i want to would have to say a nice bone stock brand new 350x or 250sx

Wow.. I was really surprised when I saw my trike mentioned.. lol. If you were ever around this area, I'd gladly let you take it for a spin.. lol. And you are missing out.. manuals are fun!
And a few weeks ago I would have said that I wanted to ride a 350X or 250R.. but now that I have both of them, I'm not quite sure. I'd have to say HondaATC's (Billy's) CR500 conversion.. or anyones 250 to 500R conversion..

Is riding a Manual ATV/ATC kind of like driving a maual vehicle? I have drove stick vehicles before at the farm a couple times and im not to bad at it, but with ATV's do you have to let out the cluth slowly so you dont have to kill it and clutch when coming to a stop and such? I have a feeling if I ever rode a manual clutch ATV i would be killing it more times than riding it

chris200x
02-24-2006, 04:58 PM
There is no clutch on the 250sx... I guess you'll have to pick again.

BRH... I forgot about dammit. dammit. I too wish to repick... Although the nick is one kickass trike. Like you said I'd probably kill myself too! I pick doug's badboy R... But only if he lets me ride out at glamis. :D

02-24-2006, 05:00 PM
I would have to say either anything OC has. Derricks Casper and 3leg's R. Darius's Z. And for a modded Z, the one 84Tecate is building. That thing looks WICKED! So not really one I guess lol more like 5-15 trikes:TrikesOwn

Kind of like a vehicle, yes. Its not too hard, really. I had never drove a manual clutch before (not even a vehicle), and it only took me about half an hour to get used to it to the point that I could ride it without stalling it. Its quite simple, really, if you take it nice and slow and are patient. But once you get the hang of it, they are damn fun!

what is the nick?

"The Nick" is a chromoly framed 500cc 4 stroke turbocharged bullet made by the Famous 3 wheeler frame designer "Nick Nicholson"....

all info about Nicholson's on this site under the custom trike section has been retracted :banned:

these frames appeared around 1980 to 1982 in 3wheeler sport trike history

It saddens me that most members lack any knowledge of the infamous Nicholson frames...and their very special place in ATC history.....

one of the rarest trikes ever made...

Actually its a lot faster than a stocker. Last two times I raced stock R's with it the gap was pretty dramatic. It even surprised me.

I'd also like to throw my second choice out there after Kasey's 500R. Deathman53's MX R. That thing looks mean. Like a junk yard dog with scars all over it's face.

I have already ridden Kasey's 500R, that has been one of the more popular choices.

There are a lot of other really good choices out there, but I want to ride HRC200X's suspened 70. I want one of those so bad, and if I got a chance to ride it, I could just not bring it back. lol
