We found this at a garage sale a few days ago. I bought it because of how unique the rear suspension set up is. Check out the extended axle and after market swing arm. Does any body have any idea who made that? You can also see an adjustable rear linkage. I am also wondering what those hubs came off of.
Well, what do you all think?

Any idea who made fiberglass fenders back then? Was that something riders did because it was easier to repair?

Those rear end parts are already destined for a soon to be biult 200X flat tracker. I am very anxious to see it when completed.
The truck in the back ground if my 95 F-350 with bud wheels.

Thats interesting. I am not sure about the swingarm but the the hubs, wheels, tire combo looks like a Kawasaki Mojave or perhaps Tecate 4. I dont know if they are supposed to be able to fit the 200X spline so that could pose a problem. I know that the Mojave has small splines similar to a Honda so they might swap out.
I got Dibs If *edited* doesnt get it.

Tecate hubs are the same spline as a 200x. I used some on my 200x once.

Are the rear wheels staggered to the right or is that just an optical illusion?

what did you pay.

The tires are straight. It is just the angle of the camera. I got it pretty cheap. The suspension is adjusted in the frame.
There may be a chance that this trike is an old factory Honda race trike. More on that will come soon.
Interesting.Thanks for the pics.

I don't know, it doesn't look too much like any aftermarket frame I've seen, I'm thinking some kind of modified 200x frame and just and aftermarket swingarm and aftermarket hubs. Most aftermarket frames were much simpler and sturdier in construction.

Looks like a PK swingarm or maybe a dico made by westcoast, nice find, how much did you pay for it?
LonesomeTriZ

I have confirmed that this is a 200X frame. But I have no idea who built that swing arm or linkage. It looks way too clean to be a home built job. I am leaning towards the factor race team theory right now.

Whoa...I had not noticed it but that rear axle DOES look like its offset to one direction! I've seen old suspension kit ATC200s and 185s with setups similar to that but never on a 200x. Thats pretty dang sweet.

You posted while I was typing. Do you know where I can find some photographs of a PK or Dico swing arm to compare?
Okay, I'll let my secret out. I paid $100 for it.

Okay, where do you all see an offset?

I just took some more photographs while I have it sitting on its side. I have some rust penetrate soaking into a few things. This should give a better angle on the adjustable linkage. Also, where is the shock reservoir supposed to go? That just does not look right. I also wanted to point out the red anodized handlebar. I think it looks pretty good.

It is funny you asked that question. It just so happens I will be following up on that. I have something in the works right now to try and track down the owner. I’ll just tell you the whole story. How’s that?
My mother and her boy friend found this at a garage sale over the weekend. The guy having the garage sale owns a small Harley shop. After I bought this from him I checked out the nice old bike collection he had. Sweet, that is all I can say. Anyhoo. The called me and told me about it but I was not in the mood to go look at it because I had just missed a deal on another trike that I had went back to get that day. (I was oh so very pissed) I figured it would not be worth the trip considering the luck I had up to that point. After having lunch my girlfriend talked me into going and checking it out. (Imagine that) She said it would be better to know and not wonder.(Gee, that sounds like something I have said before) We get there and I could tell from the truck this was something special. It was pushed back with what looked like junk about to be hauled off. The guy said some one gave it to him and in the weeds is where it has sat every since. So we negotiated a deal, and I left with it. I did not even think to ask about the rest of the trike. My mom’s boy friend also has several Harleys and he got the guys number so that can do Harley owner stuff. (like not have a life because their Harleys are always broken down) I just talked to him a little while ago and asked him to get a hold of the guy and see if he can get me in touch with the previous owner. The guy called back and said he will. So, there may be more to come.

Bet that the motor is a rear kicker due to the cut in the fender. You don't have the tank belong to it? The tank would probably have the front corners cut to allow more steering lock. Also are the steering ground or cut off the frame you have?
Edit Should have said rear kicking XR 200 motor. That would make the most sense. Unless there was a CR125 in there.

Rear hubs and wheels are Tecate-4. I just sold some that were identical. Nice find there! Give it some love. Your chick must be pretty cool if she encouraged you to go out and buy another trike.

If the rear fender is fiberglass, Curtis Sparks made them back in the day. I heard this from an old racer friend of mine from when he raced nationals on a 200x. If you want to sell them I will take them off you hands, they would look good on the wall.

Big green,
It looks like the steering stop was modified.
Chain,
I thought about that as well. Who ever did this, did a very dood and clean job.
Blue,
If I am unable to get the rest of it, you are first in line to get the rear fender.
Grundle,
Yeah, she is. she as no problem helping me fill the yard up with trikes. She even helps me restore and biuld them.
To every one else,
I would love to keep thid thing. But I just can not take on another last soul. If it was complete, I may think a little differently. My mission was to keep it out of the dump. That looks as though where is was heading.

HOndaATC Keep the machine whole, just get it all and make it something again. If it was some type of Racer back in the day it would be a shame to kill it. Even if it doesnt have the engine that it should.

Louis, Great find. Truly unique!!! Just fix it up to totally cherry shape, then trade it to me for my ytm. You're a yammie guy and I am a honda guy.....that's only the right thing to do!:p :p
