Just bought a 1984 200x for $100.00. I will try and get some pics, the guy also has another one that needs assembled he will sell me for $50.00, he claims it ran befoer it was taken apart. But the one I got runs great if you get it started.
I have cleaned the carb changed the plug and i have searched the forum for ideas on what to check. I will keep you up to date on what I find if anyone is interested.

Is it just hard starting? If you cleaned the carb, made sure the choke was on, and have spark, I would say make sure you valves are adjusted correctly. If you dont have a manual, I'm sure someone can scan that page.

Hard starting sounds like the valves need adjusting.

I am going to set the valves this week end, bike came with a manual so I got that covered.
I am going to pick the other bike up shortly (next few days) and I have cleaned the carb changed the plug and gas.
I am located in Sharpsville, Pa which is near Sharon - Hermitage in mercer county
