well i bought a zinger.brought it home changed the fuel, and plug, and it still won't rev up.there is oil dripping from the exhaust,i figured they had it mixed to rich, the injector is unhooked.so i put some 50-1 in her,and still nothing.should the injector port be plugged?it would pull a vacum if not right?could this be why it runs like crap?starts up decent, and will idle for awhile, but won't rev, acts like the plug is fouled.anybody got any suggestions?

umdo the exaust from the head and see if it will rev up then, it could be a pl;uged exaust. but dont run it for more than a few seconds or it will lean burn and melt a hole in your piston if left runnign without it too long. but i had this problem with my alt50

Since it is a trizinger, after you start it, did you move the switch from start to run, it makes a difference. Your 3 positions on your on switch should be off- start- run.

plugged up exhaust (Them things are nuts how their made anyways) or a clogged airfilter would be my guess.

Hey 3leggeddog, get the DG nationals pipe for your zinger. I got one for mine and it was the best part you can buy for it. Don't forget the boysen reeds, same reeds for the pw50. Check your exhaust gasket, there are 2 different ones listed in the dealer manual, one has a small restricting hole, and the other, is the wide open exhaust gasket. If your exhaust gasket looks like a little copper flat washer with the small hole, change to the bigger non-restricted gasket.

I haven't removed the oil injector on my zinger yet and was looking into this. I've read that if you disconnected the cable, you can put vaccuum plugs like you would use for a car carburator and remove injection tubing and plug any open spots and use silicone. I just removed the oil injector from my rd350 yamaha, I had to pull the side case and cover to get to the plunger that moved the oil injector for the stroke and you can get an aluminum plug that has the yamaha symbol engraved on it with an o-ring and 2 stainless screws to plug the hole for $10 off of ebay. I'm not sure if the oil injector is the same size on the zinger, if it is, you could use the same block off plate on the zinger if you wanted to. If you find the oil pump block off plate on ebay, write and ask the guy if it would work on the zinger. Did you get the zinger running? Was it a plugged up exhaust? I read the exhaust plug up where the second "chamber" bolts up to the part of the exhaust that is bolted to the head. I don't know if that makes sense, but the stock exhaust is 2 pieces and it seems the second piece is the one that gets clogged up. Get the open or larger of the 2 exhaust gaskets from the dealer and get onto the DG website and you can still get the trizinger nationals exhaust from them. Add the boysen reeds for the pw50 and the zinger really starts moving out much better than stock.

I would more aim at Vealmonkeys -Start/Run scenario---
Since they are single speed centrifugal clutches--A "REV" limiter was put in place to keep it from revving up at start and running away from you--Look at the wiring diagram and find "Speed control module"--also check your grounds since the box works from the ground signal from the switch.

Search TriZinger exhaust and youll find all kinds of info on here including how to drill it out. They are notoriuos for clogging.
The oil injector does not need to be plugged, but the line where it feeds into the intake takes. If I remeber right, on the zinger, the oil line goes into the carb. Leave about an inch of line on the carb nipple, snip it off, and plug it.

thanks guys,i have got it running, but still no rev.it just acts like it is flooding out.
so the oil does not inject into the carb?
and the start switch only says,run/off

i still would try pulling the exaust, and see if the restriction is the problem, another thing is have you checked the reeds? mabey one may be sticking open. but its all trial and error.

Don't just check the exhaust pipe for plugging. Also check the exhaust port in the cylinder. Carbon builds up here like crazy. My Zinger had this problem when I got it. The exhaust port was choked down to smaller than the size of a pencil. VERY commom moped/scooter problem and the 60 motor is (as someone else pointed out) based on the PW 50. I do think there is a chance that your ignition components might have been changed or interchanged with pw 50 parts. It seems to me like some of the 3 and 4 wheeler zingers had the run/start positiion and some didn't. It really sounds like yours is staying in the 'retarded' or 'start' position so it can't rev up uncontrollably.

Triple check that switch again------Does it say --Start/Run/off?- Make sure that there arent actually three positions on the switch----Switch in the run position -Trike wont start--Get the wiring diagram and look at the speed control wires----trace them up to the switch---Speed control looks very similar to cdi box
The zinger I had I sold because I couldnt get it running----The kid I sold it to had it running and riding in 15 minutes---switch was broken-
