Come on you "Air Heads" Lets GO!!!!!!!!!
Looks like you got a good machine there.
Tires, and make the back wider. That would make a good differance.I heard they are way overpowered for ther chassie.

Yeah I think you need a set of westcoast hubs to widen it out some.

You can use a set of 300ex hubs to make it about 2 inches wider and change it over to 4 on 110 pattern for better wheel choices. The Works shock should be 1" longer than stock for better travel. Sounds like you have most of the bases covered allready. My 81 handles good with the hubs above, a set of 20" H-Traks on the rear and I have a 21" knobbie on front.

I forgot to mention that I swiped the hubs off my 86 or 87 200x (I forgot which one) and they fit on the stock axel. 4 on 110 now-YES

Are the 400EX hubs wider than the 300EX?

uhmmm...boost bottle will help a little bit. I doubt you will feel a crazy ammount of difference though. Well, If you do go a 300R kit, wanna sell me that DG head? Lol. Only thing i could think of is probably a 200x front end and more agressive porting. Hell if you can find a Mugan 360 kit your in business.

Mugen 360? That would be nice but not realistic. I want to ride. Not look at somthing in a BOX. Stroke my Mugen in a box? I don't think so! lol. 2 stroke it on the track is more like it!! I emailed DG about their boost bottle but they havn't replied. And i don't think they will. Been about 15 weeks now. I'ts vintage ATC so they probobly don't have any left-boo. I think I will keep the DG head so I can put it back on when i slow down. lol

Deck the head and bump the compression up. I dont know about that reed valve setup...The cages from the watercooled 250Rs interchange if I remember right. I'd go with the v-force setup if power is what you want and it doesnt have to be period correct. And not to sound like TeamGeek6, but ignition maybe? See if a PVL or something off another machine might be able to fit and work on it.

Well, I'd get a set of reed spacers. They really help bottom end. Yes, the boost bottles do work, but I don't kno what brand. That's great on the oversized carb. Of course you're running a straight filter right? I'm really liking the +3 swinger, especially Westcoast. :w00t: I'd also go all the way on the rear end and get a Works shock, i think somebody already said that........ If you've got a stock axle, you definately need some spacers or a wider axle.. I'd say forget a 300r kit and try to just put a 350 odyssey cylinder and head on there... You'd be spankin my ass..... :beer Really wantin some pics.....:pics: :pics: :pics: :pics: :pics:

400ex hubs are exactly the same as 300ex/250x and 86 or 87 200x's.
the boost bottles dont do hardly anything for what you pay so i would not even bother.

all my 82 r has is a 300r kit, clamp on air filter, bigger than stock carb and a answer silencer. thats plenty in the power dept. for me. to much in my opinion for the stock chassis.
