I have a 1984 200S that I just bought a while ago for $300. It runs well but needs new sprockets and chain. I am going to put a bit bigger sprocket on the back to get a bit more speed. I was just wondering what other tips you guys have to make it faster without tearing into my engine. used parts for me are readilly available, so parts off other models that would make me quicker would be awsome to know of.

any tips would be greatly appreciated

A bigger back sprocket will increase acceleration, but slow down top speed. Maybe a 200X carb, Uni Air Filter, good exhaust system.

i have a 200x cam that would make a difference. it is heasy to change and you wont even need gaskets. takes about 1 hour to do.

will a 200x carb make that much of a difference ? I found one for $20.00 that needs a good cleaning. also a 200x cam i found for $75.00. I am inexperienced at motors but a quick learner. I bought the Haynes trike book and i think that it will help me out with the installation. Where would i be looking to find a good exhaust system?

I have an 84 200s. If the 200x cam really makes a noticeable difference I'd put one in. How much do you want for it 200xbasket
