hey guys, i am still new to the site and i have a ?. I have a 1985 250R, when this trike came to me it was blown up so i rebuilt it and went to the full 2mm over bore. i am curious how much am i starving myself, or how much power will i gain if i have the cylinder ported. i am looking for more power where ever i can get it. i also have a gold series FMF fatty pipe, and if anyone knows what the proper jetting would be for this pipe, please let me know.

ported/polished and a bigger carb would help :)

have it ported polished, have the head milled for the port work...then put in a rad or vforce reed cage, then add either a 38 or 39mm pwk then you should be good... try and find a pt high rev pipe or a type 6 both pipes abosolutly RIP

Do you want the power to hit more on the bottom or top end screamer?

Try Hard Rock Motorsports. My bud got his cylinder ported by them and got a 39mm airstryker and now his R screams! :naughty:

38mm is the largest Airstryker. But I would definately get it ported, and the head milled. Also, if your looking for real power, try either a big bore kit, or a stroker plate and crank. I couldn't beleive the difference a $30 spacer plate made

Yea the long rod out of the 89 250r is a great start, and no offense, but the fmf,in my opion is not much gain over a stock pipe! Try the paul turner orpro-circuit pipe. When you put a bigger carb on a basically stock bike, your going to have to downsize your jets,so whats the point?Anyway the best bang for your buck is to start with a good port job,and a good pipe, then your intake&carb after that!

You have the head shaved on a mill and it raises compression.
