I was snooping around my topend today and i noticed i have a stock atc gasket..All this time i thought it was a CR.I ask the guy who built my topend and he said not to mess with it because im running 180-185 psi. would it be safe to run a cr gasket or should i just leave it alone? Im running half pump/110 race..THANKS :)

um with 185 psi you only need to run pump gas....now if you go over around 210 psi you need to run half/half...over 225 you should stick with 110 minimum. i run the cr head gasket with a shaved/ rechambered head and mid-top porting and am running 225 to 230 psi and i run sunoco 110 and i have no problems, load of lugging power for tight trails and i have a top end pipe. i have blown the head gasket once... if your going to use the cr gasket, i recommend letting your bike warm up, because thats how i blew it, hopping on and cleaning it out and hammering on it. i know im dumb but whatever.

cr gasket only helps your low end right? wouldnt affect my topend speed any?

nope.... the more you increase your compression the more you take out the low end hit.... your bottom end will improve but your top end performance will DROP cause it wont let it rev out ...
