So yesterday was my b-day so obviously I HAD to buy something for myself lol. I have been eyeing that tecate Champion swingarm on eBay for a while. So yesterday I said f-it and bought it. It's gonna look cool when my tecate gets put back together. I got it stripped down to the frame now and ready to go to the powdercoater. Then I'm gonna start putting it back together. Can' wait. Not too many nice Champions still around so it will be a nice addition.:w00t:

Thats a great present, you'll be pleased. When it arrives take the time to look at how quality a piece it is.

BigGreen, i absolutely love your machine. Every time you post a pic it makes me want to go out and buy an A series tecate. I guess i can't complain though, having two B series now.

That is a killer T3. Is the tank faded? Do you plan on repainting it? :)

So far I've been buying everything new I can think of for this project. I want to do it up right and not half-ass it. Frame, motor mounts, pegs, hubs, and lower forks powdercoated blue, new ITP rims, Holeshots on back, Kenda Front max in front, new cables, new bearings, chain and sprockets, probably a works shock or a rebuilt stocker, PVL ignition, new plastics, verde seat cover, sprock head, and I probably missed a few things. Biggreen you got one hell of a nice T3. Love the Champion on there and the radiator cover looks sick. Is your champion +2? Also what plastic do you have on there? Thanks.

Your project sounds sweet! Word of mouth is nothing but good things about the Sprock head. The Yamaha Raptor shock fits the Tecate as well. I picked up the swinger off a board member, NOS, +2 and has made quite a difference. Able to use the power the Tecate makes without looping it. Though it still lifts the front in top gear but thats because of the gearing change. The #plate I scored a few years ago for 50 bux, its in great shape. The plastic is 86 Maier rear and Maier stock front fender. You need to make a different fender brace for the rear fender but its straight foward to anyone with some mech skill. Best of luck on your project and feel free to hit me up for any questions.

Blazerone22 I saw your tecate, the red one right? With the Klemm pipe (wanna sell it?) hahahaha. Your bike is sick too and I hope mine turns out half as good as yours and biggreen's. Man if my wife finds out how much I'm dumping into this project I'll be living in the shed!

I am getting fairly close to getting mine in rideable condition. It is not as pretty as some of the others but I don't want it to be anyways. I just woods ride an MX with it anyways so every year it is pretty thrashed anyways. It does have it share of aftermarket stuff on it though. JP pipe/silencer, extended axle and some other minute things. It may never get finished though if I don't stop buying tecates right now. Everyone I buy I just have to save. They all just get hoisted up to the loft in the shop and covered up for another day. When you get it done go out and ride it like it was built to ride. Atleast once, thats what they were built to do. Not just to look at.
Cliff3202, you need to post some pics of these tecates you have. I am dying to see what the TT one looks like. Hook a brother up:pics: :pics:

honestly, i'd be ashamed to post pics of my trike here with all these restored ones. I may be able to dig a few out, but i'd have to send them to someone to post, i am too lazy to figure out how to resize them.

Send them to James_escortracing@msn.com and I'll post them up. Don't remember seeing it before.
