will this work??

what are the differences in the 2 top ends?

if it DOES work, would it be better or not than the stock 185 head.

thanks
Bruce.

The heads fror these models thru 1986 will inner change: 185, 185s, 200, 200e, 200es, 200m, 200s, & 1983 - 1985 200x's ( 86-87 200x's are different ). If your looking to get more power the 83-85 200x heads would probably give you a little more ( not much though ).

I have heads if you need one and I do ship world wide. PM or email me for price and details.

Howdy. thanks for the prompt reply.

Not after more power, the one I bought has a sticky valve problem, thinking if just swapping another head would be easiest!!!

Are you talking you have compete heads ready to bolt on kind of thing, trying to make this as easy as possible!

im in Melbourne Australia 3910 postcode. scare me to death, what would postage be. Carrier Doe Doe would do... :)

I will get a weight on a head and figure the shipping cost this afternoon. Personally with just a sticky valve I would take the valve out and clean it up and re-install it ( Or replace the valve and springs ). It isn't too hard to clean them up.

yea havent seen it bought it unseen, but $150au, ($75us) aint bad..

relapping valves is only 1 hour, and stem seals etc.. Scared to see what Honda Aussie want for the stuff... if my VFR stuff is anything to go by :'(

So working on worst case scenario....

Thanks Mr.

Just get some lapping compound, I made a bit that connects to my cordless drill/driver, you just tighten it down on the valvestem and pull back just a LITTLE and spin it for a hot second, the valves should seat fine
thas how us rednecks here in Apache Junction do things ;)

yea done it before, used to race road bikes :s Now thats expensive... Also worked in a bike shop.... things like FZ750s are a pain in the arse to work on....

But rather do it manually with a suction cup with a rod coming out(like a small dunny plunger!) onto the face of the valve, and do it that way with lapping compound... Done it 100's of times before, just lazy in my old age!

The New Age Rednecks put a drill chuck on a washing machine and then lap the valves during the wash cycle. Just be sure your done before the spin cycle. lmao j/k
