found a vintage race video...

i was looking thru a bunch of old old vhs tapes the other day out in the garage, and i found what i think most people on here would love to see, an old "MOTOWORLD" vhs. it is the "1985 Blackwater 100" that used to be raced in Davis, W. Virginia. this is the second year of the three wheelers to ever race this race, it has tons of three wheelers, the first year of the suzuki quadsport and quadracer. besides them two quads i think they are the only ones in the vid, besides that its all trikes. yeah the video quality is mid-eighties and the clothes and hair styles are something to laugh at, but it has awesome trike footage. from mud bogs to hillclimbs, flips, drown outs, and plenty of laughs to go along with it. i dont know how to put the video on the computer, or post it on here anywheres, but i am willing to dub it for anyone who wants it. of course you would have to pay the shipping cost and cost of a blank video. anyone interested please emailme at scooterroo@yahoo.com or pm me on here.:Bounce

I just copied an old vhs tape onto my DV camera, then uploaded the footage to my computer and saved the video back onto DVD. If you would like, send me the vhs tape, or a copy of it and I will be glad to copy it onto DVD for you. I would just like to have a copy of that tape on DVD for myself.

I raced in 5 Blackwater Events but not on 3 wheels.(89-93 on a TRX250X, finished in the top 30 once 3rd in my class) It was brutal and crazy. Hey I wore those neon colors back then, LOL. I have seen the video before but not in many years. Is it the one with the 200x flipping on the 93 crossing? If it is I know that guy AND!!!! that footage was used on 60 minuets bashin of 3 wheelers show!! I would bve interested in seeing it again.

the 93 river crossing is the best part. theres a few x's that go over back wards on it. be patient, i am sending out a copy to howdy today, so hopefully he can post it asap.

I have a copy and am working on getting it changed to digital format and upload it. I hope to get this done in the next day or 2. This should allow everyone that wants to see it a chance.

Yea, it is a bad copy. My VCR is old as the hills. I really need to spend some money on a VCR instead of 3wheelers. But hey, you can't ride a VCR. lol

VERY cool indeed! I know a fella who raced the BlackWater on a 85/86 250R. He is a mechanic at the Local Honda Dealer. He said he has lots of pics and maybe a videoa or two of him racing "back in the day" but said he is NOT interested in diggin the stuff out. It is stored away in his attic...or at least that is the last he has seen of it. I keep on him all the time to dig the stuff out, but still nothing. Maybe someday.
