tracing an electrical problem...

first the carb was leaking...fixed it. Now it still wont start. I checked w/ a meter the spark plug boot when I hit the startbutton no movement on the needle.
How do I go about tracing it?
Any schematics?

T test fo spark, dont use a meter,,, just put the plug in theboot and lay t on the motor, you hould see a spark, if not,,,,, take the boot off and cut about 1/8 inchoff the ed of th plug wire then hold the end of the ire close to the engine and ee if a spark jumps there, if not you have to check your coil, cdi, ect,,, try the simple stuff first and let us know

i am not sure how to check that stuff. the coil cdi etc. I am terrible with electrical.

OK, so just clarify for me, What model is your bike? Did ycheck for spark? Does the motor turn over? asking for help here you have to provide as h info as possible, where all we have is wo, it's tough to diagnose problems, but I'll help in any way I can, feel free to PM me spefc stuff, l wal through whatever I can,,,,, good luck
