400EX exhaust on 350X ?

The 400EX exhaust looks about the same. Has anyone on here ever tryed to fit one up.I know there would be some mods to the head pipe but thay look so close.
And there is a lot of good aftermarket exhaust systems for the 400ex that would make some good power on a 350X.
If you had to cut and weld, with some work it could be easy to hide the mods to the head pipe.
Heck I dont know its just a thought wonderd if someone has already tryed it.

I have a DG krome power on mine now and it looks great but its a little loud.

MR ATC could help u here, he made an exhaust for his big bad 350X out of 6 different exhaust systems. They do look the same. Anyone here with a 400EX and 350X shoudl try it.

I tried to put a 400ex headpipe on my old 350x, the pipes line up to the exhaust ports but the pipe is not bent right to fit into the muffler, it needs to be cut and bent severly. A new 350x head pipe from service honda is $97.

What would it take to get the 400ex silencer on to a 350X?

i couldnt tell you, you would have to see if the diameters of the pipes where they meet are the same and if the lenght is longer or shorter. It may just bolt up or it might need to be cut or lengthened. If it needs to be lengthed Id take a piece of pipe onto the silencer and then try to get it to seal properly which is probably pretty hard to do.

If you just want to quiet it down a bit get DG's spark arrestor disc kit and you'll basically have a super trapp. It is not supposed to fit on the Krome exhaust but with a little work it fits nice, I know I did it on mine and all I needed was a drill, a couple extra bolts, and an "eye hook" from the hardware store.
