There is atleast pictures of the 1987 Honda 250r, there are 1987 kawasaki tecate 3's and yet I have never heard of or seen a 1987 Tri-Z. Did it just not make to the assembly line or what? Seems weird to me that the other two big trike companies had the '87 2 stroke but yamaha didnt.

It did come out. Yamaha called it the Banshee in 87.

The hondas were apparently earlier in the production line. Yamaha made no trikes for 87, however youll notice that a couple of the 87 quads were nothing more than factory conversions. One being the Moto4 (200 or 225?), and the other being the Quad-Zinger.

If Yamaha made a 87,it would have been awsome.Nicer than the 87 250rR.
