It looks like new and the tires are 100% but they are dry rotted. I am planning on buying it...Anyone know what it might be worth if anything..? .... I would pay 400 or 500 for it. It has electric start & reverse. They are tough.

thats it .....right down to the engine finish, and it actually looks that good....it did have 1 problem tho....the headlight lens was cracked.....I will see if i can get pictures today also..yup it did have reverse..I am also going to try to go buy a Yamaha Timberwolf 250 and a 1982 Honda 200s today also...both looked pretty nice so I hope to get some great parts from them also.....I am dissabled and this is the only way I have to make any money so I have to keep busy...Too many Moroecycle wrecks and pnly two legs to mess up .......I am supposed to go back and buy a 4 wheeler he has that I am going to break down for parts..I figure on spending around $400.00 for it...He only paid $50.00 for it....from his brother ....Imagine a deal like that....Its is a sharp lil' ride tho ain't it.???

I would think it would be worth 400 - 500. Those things will last forever.

I have a pretty nice 86 125m and one just wen't for $1100 on e-bay but generally go $400-$500 dollars but not in that nice of shape. Excellent little trike. It halls my 225lb ass around without missing a beat. The 86 is rare and the 87's are real rare. Only have seen maybe six in four years.

Well, an '84 125M just went for $1450 on eBay. It was in fantastic condition. If this one is in great condition, I'm guessing you'd be getting a steal at $400-500.

And you can still get the original OHTSU tires, if you want it to look stock. Check 'em out here... http://www.chaparral-racing.com/Chaparral/productr.asp?pf%5Fid=62%2D0034&gift=False&0=dept%2Easp%2Cdept%5Fid%3D148%26menu%5Fid%3D%26Tr ee%3D%2CATV%20Tires&1=dept%2Easp%2Cdept%5Fid%3D145%26menu%5Fid%3D%26Tr ee%3D0%2COHTSU%20ATV%20Tires&HSLB=False&mscssid=0B88F631A1E9849C2926981C19DC97A7

The 84-85 are totally different than the 86-87. If you ask me they shouldn't even be compared to one another they are actually two different trikes.

In your opinion, howso? (other than the obvious cosmetic changes)

The early ones are like the 110's and the second generation are more like a 200s without the front suspension. Upright motor, sportier, reverse, the frames, seat, trunk, sleaker front fender, slightly up turned rear fenders, etc.

Sure, I understand that. I thought you were talking about in terms of valuability. To me, it would seem that an '87 (the last year of production), would be as valuable as a nice '84 (the first year of production) to a collector. Otherwise, I agree with you.

Actually I believe the 86-87 to be worth more. They are extremely rare compared to the 84-85. I know, since I've been working on one and pretty much 84-85 parts are a dime a dozen. Can't even get aftermarket plastics for 86-87. I contacted Maier about that and they told me there were not enough of the 86-87 models produced for them to warrant making fenders for them.

Ah, ok. I was thinking the same thing myself. Obviously, the value of something is what someone is willing to pay for it, but based on this, I'd have to say it's worth at least $1500 (that is, if you carry over the assumption from the fact someone was willing to pay $1450 for an '84)

Your right the value is only what someone is willing to pay and how bad they want it. Also depends on who see's it. Sometimes a pretty nice one will go for pretty cheap and other times they are out of this world pricey. When I saw the 86 go for 1100 I was like wow then I saw the 84 go for 1450 and was like WOW. I'd say they were both in about the same condition too.

Well the guy backed out on me yesterday when I got there to pick up the trike....Wanted me to make a new offer.....Imagine that.....We already had a nice sweet low cost (to me) deal made. The deal we had struck was $200.00, but when I got there to pick up the 250 fourtrax he backed out..??..But I am going back on Sunday to try to sweeten the deal a little...Man I want this trike......Meanwhile.....I also picked up a nice 1985 HONDA ATC110....It's all there and for sale...the seat is already gone, and the toolbox lid is sold too.....but I have nice rear fenders, front fender, tank, rear axle and carburetor, and engine.....its all for sale...I have ridden it and it runs out good and thesub-tranny works fine...Any ? just ask...
