Well I'm out of ideas! OK here's the deal. I had radiator fluid leaking from the head and from the seephole behind the water pump cover (bottom crankcase). So I replaced the gasket on the waterpump. And I got another head gasket, both OEM. I put them both on, and I still have fluid leaking from the exact same places! So then I thought maybe the head is warped, I put it on a perfectly flat surface, my granite countertop. But there was no jiggling. So there goes that theory. I put the head back on without the gasket, switched the lights off and put my LED light to id to see if any spots on the head light showed through, nothing! So baxicly what I'm asking is WTF!?!?!?! I called honda and they said the mechanical seal on the waterpump is maybe why the fluid is coming out of the seephole, but that dosn't explain the head leaking!?!?!:wondering
Somebody please help me out here! I am out of ideas, I havn't ridden in 2 weeks!!!  I'm gonna got nuts!!!
Anybody have any thought or ideas??? I'm at the end of my rope!!!:(
Thanks, Devin:beer

did *Edited* use gasket sealer? oem might not have the self adhesive gasket... also if i would just use the gasket sealer now just cause it WILL stop the leak... my mom would kill me if i put medal on her granite counter top I MEAN KILL
good luck bro

if fluid is coming out the seephole on the side case you definitly need the mechanical seal like the dealer siad. thats the only reason it wopuld leak there.

just cause it doesn't tip on the counter top does not mean its flat,,,,,, it needs to be measured properly,, when you put the head on did you alternate bolts in a pattern? are they torqued to the proper torque? is the cylinder flat?
was it checked with a straight edge and a feeler gauge? are your studs loose ? maybe nuts are bottoming out? oem gaskets will take up a little uneveness but if the head isn't close when the metal band flattens out to its maximum it won't be tight enough to seal the fiber part,,,

Im not shure exactly shure where it leaking on the head where the head gasket is or around the nuts if it around the nuts use acorn nuts i had this happen before on R,s what kind of cyl, head are you running?

if you have this problem,,,, ITS a PROBLEM ,, all you will do is seal the water in the studs and rust them up,, a properly installed gasket with flat mating surfaces will not leak,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,:D :D :D

thats WHY i asked what head and jug was on it !had it happen with o rings and yes they were properly installed . it was a esr head and ive never had it happen with stock.

Yea I alteranted the pattern of the bolts when I put it on, and took it off, yes they are at the proper torque, I didn't measure the cylinder yet, I REALLY hope that didn't get warped! The studs arn't loose either. But remember it was doing all this before I changed the gasket! Why would the head gasket and the mechanical seal on the water pump blow at exactly the same time? Was one the prelude to another or something like that?
*EDIT*by the way, yes the head is stock, and so is the cylinder, and so is the waterpump, and so is everything else that is mechanical*EDIT*

How much rad fluid is leaking from your head? Mine seeps a table spoon or two from time to time. It will go days without doing it then one day outa like 4 riding there will be wetness on the side of the cylender that just dries up and stops. Its never leaked enough there to even need to add to the radiator. I'm not gonna fix that till something more catastrophic happens. As for your other leak... never had that happen yet.

It will create little beads around the head, They will then form little streams. If you were to wipe the head off, then come back in 20min it would look like this.....

take the cylinder and head to a machine shop and have them check it for warping. is the surface clean and smooth? any gouges?
what brand of gasket?
your mechanical seal is leaking. was the engine running hot / lean?

The gasket is OEM. The surface is clean as a whistle...... And yes the machine ran hot because there was little or no fluid in it. I was hoping I would get lucky because it was in the 30's and once I noticed the engine over revving I stopped and put snow on it. Let it cool off then went strait back to the house, like 1000ft away.....

There might be a good chance that something is warped due to it overheating.
Dammit!

Don't use regular gasket sealer on a head gasket. Use Copper Spray. You can get it at most automotive stores.
Also, after it's assembled and torque'd down (alternately like Kasey said) you have to re-torque it after it's been heated up and cooled down.
I would fix the water pump problem before anything. Maybe that problem is causing it to not cool as effectively as it should and creating more pressure.
