Well, I just picked up some more magazines today through the local swap and trade paper. One particular mag [june 1982] has a color pic of Steve Wright and Marty Hart racing side by side on a pair of Yamaha IIIB Lightning 3 wheelers. I wish I knew how to scan and post a copy of this pic, it looks awesome. These machines had 125, 175 ,250, 465 motors. I got 96 magazines for 45 dollars. Pretty good deal even though some years were late 80's which covered mostly 4 wheelers then.:beer

Yeah , lucky is right. He told me that he has had them in the classifieds for 3 weeks now and I was the only caller he had. I think I will run down to the store and buy a powerball ticket.

It may take some SERIOUS archealogical (sp?) work to find them, but i have 3+ years worth of DirtWheels and 3&4 Wheel Action mags at Derrick's house. I'd LOVE to find them and restore them to the land of the living.

I love collecting mags..........been doing it for about 5 years now. Its much easier than whole bikes(have my fair shair of those too). LOL. I'm more into the vintage streetbikes than anything but love all 2,3,4 wheel toys.

3B machines, could you please elaborate. I've seen lots of old photos of yellow racing three wheelers of this vintage. There's a bit of history of tigers out and about for example, but those old yellow racing trikes there seems to be nothing. Whats the story behind them?
