I know it's been all over the board but I still can't make up my mind. I currently have an original Ohtsu (501) and like it but they are getting harder to find. My question is about pattern. What pattern works bets on the front, block directional, plain knobbie?

Also will a tire in a 25-12-9 (original size) rub my forks? A new tire in that size look HUGE WIDE  I am thinknig about goint to a 22-11-9, would that ruin the handling?

Why don't you just buy a replacement OEM tire?? They are ~$50.

Is that tire the best for the money? Actually I priced them at bikebandit, Service Honda and Chapparall all three places are $71 with shipping.

Althought it really isn't the money but I want a good tire that will steer well with good lateral traction.

I don't know if knobbie types or directional (like the original) are better on front...ideas....opinions??

I have the OEM ones and think they have plenty of tread for most areas. Plus like stated, some of the new tires are too wide and rub the forks.

a 22x11x9 will lower your front end putting more weight on the front and making steering harder. Any way you go the front end will slide (no avoiding it unless you put like an 18" tire up there). Go with a knobbie or the OEM tire. They are usually cheaper anyway.

Denniskirk.com has all kinds of tires and will beat anyones price. Its like 6 bux shipping for anything under 100 then its free/They have the fox at tires I just got them for my 110.I got a little smaller tire for the front of my 110 to put a little more weight on the front since when Im on it there is way more on the back than there should be.

I like the Goodyear also it has a pattern similar to the Fox and the original Ohtsu. I talked to my "ATV guy" and he can order the Fox for me and have it here in a couple days...AND he will break down my old tire an mount the new one.:Bounce
