Red or black

Ok I have been working on my front end coversion for my sons 1985 Honda atc 110. Here is what I have so far. I want to keep it as close as possible to the same color scheme as the original. Red. I have only 1 fork rebuilt so far, so my question is which color should I go with for the fork boots, red or black. I plan on putting a red headlight shroud on. The tank and fender will be red also. My goal is to make it look as professional as possible almost like if honda was to offer this in 1985.

I would go with red but thats me.Also I think black might make it look a little off with the tank and fenders being red.

I would have to say red,I painted my 200x forks with a paintgun and they turned it really good....

ok I'll be different and say black. I think all that red will be overdoing it and not make it turn out to it fullest potential. But thats just me.

I'd say black to give it some contrast. The red forks and triples will look great.
Are you useing a 200x front end? I'm trying a 250sx set-up, and had to modify the triple stem and adjust the forks up a bit.

If you paint the fork tubes red at the bottom and put red fork boots on there it would look the most like the stock all red forks but I bet if it came from the factory with that front end I bet they would be black.The 110 with the 250sx front looks alot like the early mostly red 250r.

i would go with black fork boots. i think the red will over do it a little too much

I first have to say your son is very lucky to have a good father that loves fun stuff kids will go nuts for.... i think red would look cool in my opinion

Black is the same as a 200s / 185s of a similar vintage I would say that would look the closest to what would have been NOS if they had of made them.

Black would break up all the red.

I agree with wheeliepop and edog Black break it up alittle. Ok do this take a piece of paper paint 1 black 1 red and wrap it around the shocks and see which 1 you like better.:crazy:
