Alright...today I got my trike running(82 ATC 200)...And boy is it running extremely rich,it barely even runs....
I have some questions....
I am running a #38 and #95 jet...Is this good(I ride in pretty normal conditions,nothing extreme...)..Would turning these jets in/out help??
I also had to get another pilot screw(mine was buggered)...
What would be the best setting for the scre(e.g 1 7/8 of a turn from fully in)...
Any one have any other ideas on how to get this thing running good again??
I am good with working on little 2 strokes with diaphragm carbs...but these float bowl carbs:confused: me..
Any help is greatly appreciated(you all must get tired of my questions..)..
Cheers.

Alright....I have tried every ***DONT TYPE AROUND THE WORD FILTERS. THEY ARE THERE FOR A REASON*** setting for that pilot screw and it is still pouring out the black smoke...
Also...I see some notches on the top of the needle..would changing the height of this do anything(it's on the 3rd groove from the top..)
Cheers..

YEs it most certainly would, makes it richer and leaner.......
Alright....I have tried every f*cking setting for that pilot screw and it is still pouring out the black smoke...

Raise it up 1 grove (leans it out) and turn the air screw 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 turns out, if it needs more turns out than that, raise the needle clip up another notch and go from there....

Ok...So I put the needle up to 3rd notch and it ran a little better....
Ok so I was also thinking about the valves, they would probably need some adjusting as the guy who previously owned it never touched a thing on it....
Any hints when adjusting the valves from previous experience??
Cheers mate..:beer
