Here are a couple of pics of the 300sx with a bit of a modification. We found that the front tire would easily get blocked with mud and rub on the forks. So to get over the problem we made an adapter to fit an old 250R front wheel. I know a lot of peole like to swap to 200x front ends, but there aren't many of thoses lay around over here, so this will have to do for a while!!:TrikesOwn
The second pic is a where my dad took the bike to try out the new tyres, he said it coped easily with second and third gear in the deep mud:w00t:

hi jason
the sx is looking great !!! i bet she turns tighter now too, when i rode it i thought the front suspension was too soft and didn`t seem to turn right but i bet this mod helps, i think i would put some spacers on top of the fork springs to help it out a bit too.
nice work guys.

Dirtcrasher: To sort the electrical problem we bought the whole wiring loom and CDI for a TRX 300 and integrated it with the 250sx wiring loom. Possibly not the easiest/cheapest solution, but it works perfectly!
We swapped the 250sx angle drive into the engine and it sorted out the alignment problems:cool:
3leggedog: Its an engine and gearbox out of a TRX 300, hence the 300sx:D
I haven't got a pic of the adapter, but we just got a 5mm disc of metal plasma cut, then welded some inch thick spacers on to the disc, to space the wheel out so it is in the middle of the forks. Then we drilled the holes in the centre for the disc to bolt on to the SX hub, then drilled some holes on the outside for the wheel to bolt to.:TrikesOwn
Wolfspider: Thanks steve, it does turn better now, I agree on the forks, we'll see what we can do:D
